Emily Acosta

Emily T. Acosta is Senior Counsel at Wagstaff Law Firm, where she litigates complex personal injury, wrongful death, and product liability cases across the country. Over her career she has helped recover hundreds of millions of dollars for people harmed by defective drugs, medical devices, and consumer products, with key roles in mass torts involving Roundup, Bard IVC filters, transvaginal mesh, talcum powder, and the anticoagulant Pradaxa, where she was part of the only trial team to secure a punitive damages verdict in that litigation. She was one of the youngest lawyers appointed to the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee in the Elmiron products liability MDL and currently serves on the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee in In Re: Hair Relaxer Marketing, Sales Practices, and Products Liability Litigation.

She has taken hundreds of depositions, handled expert development and cross-examinations, argued before judges in California, Texas, Illinois, Georgia, West Virginia, and Missouri, and tried cases to verdict in state and federal courts. She also represents survivors of sexual abuse in civil litigation and confidential mediations.
