Misty Farris

Misty A. Farris is a Partner at Dean Omar Branham Shirley, LLP who has spent nearly 25 years advocating for asbestos victims and their families. She earned her Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from the University of Houston in 1988, her law degree cum laude from the University of Texas School of Law in 1996, and a Master of Divinity summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University Perkins School of Theology in 2014. Before entering law, she worked as a teacher and minister.

She joined the firm as an appellate attorney, using her skills in research and writing to level the playing field for individuals harmed by corporate misconduct. She handled her first asbestos victim appeal nearly 25 years ago and has since built a substantial record of reported appellate decisions. Farris is admitted in Texas, before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and multiple federal district courts in Texas.
