Dion Rassias

Dion G. Rassias is a trial attorney at The Beasley Firm whose reported verdicts and settlements exceed $306 million for people and families injured by medical malpractice, professional malpractice, defamation and false light, products liability, civil rights violations, discrimination and harassment, and related personal injury claims. He has also tried and settled complex commercial matters involving partnership disputes and law firm disassociations, antitrust claims, contracting disputes, healthcare issues, bank fraud, and trade secrets. He represented former Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro Chris Maragos over a career-ending knee injury and obtained a unanimous $43.5 million jury verdict against Rothman Orthopaedics and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. His clients have included Taylor Swift, former heavyweight champion Larry Holmes, broadcaster Harry Kalas, and Justice Seamus P. McCaffery in his suit against The Philadelphia Inquirer.

He had two of the top 50 awards and settlements in Pennsylvania in 2023, both unanimous jury verdicts. By order of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court he chaired the Disciplinary Board of Pennsylvania from 2023 through April 2024, having first been appointed to the board in 2018 and reappointed in 2021, and he served as a hearing officer from 2010 through 2016. He serves as a Judge Pro Tempore for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
