Valerie Rose

Valerie N. Rose is a Partner and Shareholder at Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger (Walkup Personal Injury Lawyers) in San Francisco, where she practices personal injury litigation. She has represented victims in cases involving catastrophic injury, sexual abuse (including school district matters), and defective medical devices.

Rose earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley with high distinction in 2004, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a national medalist in mock trial and parliamentary debate. She received her Juris Doctor from UC Berkeley School of Law in 2010.

She serves on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and has been peer-nominated each year since 2013 as a Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Star — a distinction given to fewer than 2.5 percent of the state's lawyers. In 2017, she was a key member of the Walkup trial team nominated by Consumer Attorneys of California for the Consumer Attorney of the Year honor for contributions to the first successful DePuy defective metal-on-metal hip trial in the country.
