S.M. Chris Franzblau

S.M. Chris Franzblau serves as senior counsel at Nagel Rice LLP and is one of the firm's senior litigators, with experience spanning matrimonial law, medical malpractice, criminal defense, real estate, corporate matters, labor law, and estate planning. He served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney from 1960 to 1961 and completed active-duty service with the U.S. Navy's Judge Advocate General Corps.

He founded and served as trustee of the New Jersey Criminal Defense Lawyers Foundation. Franzblau has served as labor law negotiator for management and as counsel to the New Jersey Joint Council of Teamsters and the Eastern Conference of Teamsters, as well as counsel to pension and welfare funds with assets ranging from $20 million to over $500 million. He has served as director and general counsel for multiple corporations and maintains an appellate practice before federal and circuit courts.
